The City of Adelaide recorded a Gross Regional Product of $23.95 billion in 2022/23, marking a 5.7 per cent increase that placed it third among Australian capitals for growth that year. Local jobs in the CBD rose 19 per cent between 2019 and 2023, moving from 142,000 positions to approximately 170,000. These industries account for the main share of economic contribution within the defined boundaries of the CBD.
