Adelaide CBD posts full set of public registers online under state rules

The City of Adelaide now hosts every document listed in Schedule 5 of the Local Government Act 1999 on a single public page. Residents can open the Adelaide Park Lands Community Land Register, the delegations register, the register of salaries and six separate asset management plans without filing a formal request.

This step matters because council decisions on rates, park lands use and infrastructure spending affect daily life in the central business district. People who live or work in Adelaide CBD can check meeting papers, codes of conduct and community land plans before any vote occurs.

Representation review and meeting records

Four sets of papers from the representation review sit on the site. They cover committee and council meetings held on 2 March 2021, 13 July 2021, 26 October 2021 and 8 December 2021. Agendas and minutes for ordinary council meetings remain available through the meetings portal, along with briefing papers from the CEO and the Kadaltilla / Adelaide Park Lands Authority.

Six asset management plans detail maintenance schedules for water infrastructure, urban elements, transportation, park lands and open space, lighting and electrical systems, and buildings. Each plan runs between one and four megabytes and carries a 2019 date stamp.

Registers open for inspection

Seven registers appear in full. They include the employee gifts and benefits register, the register of public roads, confidentiality orders and the council member allowances and benefits list. Two codes of conduct and a community consultation policy also sit ready for download.

Charters for the Adelaide Central Market Authority, the Adelaide Economic Development Agency and the Brown Hill Keswick Creek Stormwater Management Authority complete the collection. Annual reports and the current business plan and budget link directly from the same page.
